GloFish

A GloFish is one of a few species of genetically modified fish that are fluorescent -- zebra danios, tetras, and now the tiger barb. The original goal of the research that made them flourescent was to create a fish that could detect pollution, but in recent years they have become decorative pets. Care and feeding of GloFish is the same as with standard danios, tetras, and tiger barbs, though it is recommended you get an appropriate blue LED light for their tank to bring out thier colors during the day, and a blacklight for when the room and tank are completely dark.
