Jardine’s Parrot

Jardine’s Parrots are playful tricksters, excellent mimics who enjoy interacting with their owners. They have a zest for life and can be rambunctious, but they are not overly loud, making them increasingly popular with apartment dwellers. While they readily bond with their humans, Jardine’s have an independent streak, and are adept at entertaining themselves with toys they find interesting. A diet of pellets supplemented with vegetables, fruits, and some nuts and seeds is generally recommended, but be aware of calcium levels.
