Bergamasco

Italian via Ira, the Bergamasco is an average sized (up to 23.5” tall), athletic sheepdog. They are highly social and intelligent, and despite an independent streak, definite “people pleasers,” developing unique relationships to every member of the household. Their thick coats hide a sleek, athletic dog underneath, and are much easier to maintain than they look.
